Ringsted Radio Museum

Ringsted Radio Museum is an experience

Ringsted Radio Museum in Sct. Hansgade 34 has a unique collection of radios, phonographs, televisions, gramophones and tape recorders from the last 100 years.

Team up with one of the enthusiastic tour guides, who will explain and demonstrate a large number of unique devices that give an insight into the long development and the many Danish inventions in this field.

Many of the museum’s devices have been lent to Danish films and TV series such as Krøniken, Flame & Citron (“Flammen & Citronen”), This Life (“Hvidsten Gruppen”), Spies & Glistrup, Seaside Hotel (“Badehotellet”) and Mercur. The museum also has a special collection of appliances associated with the Danish royal family. Looking at the history of radio, Denmark has been one of the prominent countries with many significant achievements and a very large number of small and large factories producing radios, gramophones, tape recorders, televisions, measuring instruments and other electronics.
